When Life Goes Up in Smoke, the LORD Remains Our Unchanging Hope

Psalm 102 This message explores how deep affliction can make life feel fleeting, isolating, and hopeless, yet still drives us to cry out for God to hear and help. Pastor Ben Khazraee emphasizes that the LORD remains eternally enthroned, merciful to the destitute, and imperishable and unchanging, so believers can have steady peace and hope even in suffering and death.

God is Holy, Holy, Holy

This lesson explores God’s holiness, showing that God is uniquely set apart in majestic greatness and completely pure. Pastor Ben Khazraee explains that God is “awesome in majesty and without any blemish,” points to Scripture’s vision of God’s holiness, and calls for reverent awe, hope through Jesus’s substitution, and holy living in response.

God is Unchanging

This lesson explains God’s immutability, meaning God never changes in being, character, plans, or promises while still truly relating to and responding to people. Pastor Ben highlights biblical support for God’s unchanging perfections, purposes, and promises, answers common misunderstandings about God’s emotions and “regret,” and calls listeners to worship and find peace in God’s steady faithfulness.

God is Independent

God is perfectly self-existing and self-sufficient, dependent on nothing and no one, and therefore the source of all life and sustenance. Pastor Ben Khazraee tell us this means God did not create or save people out of need, but invites them to serve and trust him with gladness and confidence.

Redemption Accomplished

Ruth 3-4 Pastor Ben Khazraee concludes the series on the book of Ruth and highlights God’s redeeming work in preserving the line of David.
