One God and Father of All

Ephesians 4:6 God unites Jewish and Gentile believers through the Spirit, guiding how they handle disagreements and “gray areas” with faith and love. Pastor Rod Bunton emphasizes that there is one God and Father of the redeemed who is sovereign over all, works through believers, and dwells in them.

God is Holy, Holy, Holy

This lesson explores God’s holiness, showing that God is uniquely set apart in majestic greatness and completely pure. Pastor Ben Khazraee explains that God is “awesome in majesty and without any blemish,” points to Scripture’s vision of God’s holiness, and calls for reverent awe, hope through Jesus’s substitution, and holy living in response.

One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism

Ephesians 4:5 Paul teaches the unity and exclusive allegiance that marks Christians: one Lord, one shared faith, and one baptism. Pastor Rod Bunton emphasizes that Jesus Christ alone is Lord, that “the faith” is the common doctrine of salvation, and that baptism signifies belonging to Christ and calls believers to obedience.

Omniscience

God’s omniscience means God knows all things with infinite, eternal, and unchanging knowledge that belongs to the Creator alone. Pastor Doug Link explains that God’s knowledge is infinite, immutable, independent, innate, and infallible, and he contrasts major views of divine foreknowledge while urging comfort and assurance.

The Basis for Unity

Ephesians 4:4 Paul tells us that Christian unity is grounded in the shared realities believers have in Christ: one body, one Spirit, and one certain hope. Pastor Rod Bunton emphasized how this oneness centers on the Trinity and is lived out through the worldwide church as one body, the Spirit’s uniting work in salvation and sanctification, and confidence in Christ’s return.

God is Unchanging

This lesson explains God’s immutability, meaning God never changes in being, character, plans, or promises while still truly relating to and responding to people. Pastor Ben highlights biblical support for God’s unchanging perfections, purposes, and promises, answers common misunderstandings about God’s emotions and “regret,” and calls listeners to worship and find peace in God’s steady faithfulness.

The First Christian Sermon

Acts 2:22-41 Acts 2:22–41 records Peter’s Pentecost sermon, proclaiming Jesus’ death and resurrection as God’s promised plan and calling hearers to repent and believe. Pastor Rod Bunton highlighted how Peter grounds the message in fulfilled prophecy, eyewitness testimony, and Jesus’ exaltation as Lord and Christ, then presses the response of repentance that led to about three thousand being saved.

Omnipresence

God’s omnipresence means God is truly present everywhere, without having physical size or spatial limits, and no one can flee from God’s presence. Pastor Doug Link emphasized that God’s omnipresence is inseparable from God’s infinity, immutability, eternity, and omnipotence and omniscience, urging believers to be comforted by God’s nearness and motivated to live with integrity before God.
